Michigan man wins suit; says crash made him gay

DETROIT (AP) — A 27-year-old Westland man who complained that a rear-end auto collision turned him into a homosexual has been awarded 200,000 by a Wayne County Circuit Court jury.

Carmen Leo said in his suit the accident four years ago left him unable to carry on a normal sexual relationship with his wife.

Although his only physical injury was to his back, Leo said the accident had a jarring effect on his personality and altered his sexuality. He sued the owner of a truck that struck his car.
